Helping a committee member

  • Membership database

Assisting our Membership Secretary with administrative and practical tasks associated with maintaining our membership database (we have more than 1400 members). This involves helping new members join and the yearly renewal process for existing members.

  • Finance team

Supporting our Treasurer with the management and accounting. Volunteers do not necessarily require a financial background but should have a commitment to detail. Current tasks include inputting invoices into the finance system.

  • Website review

The primary responsibility of the website review team will be to enhance our website and ensure its accessibility, functionality and relevance. Volunteers should possess strong IT skills and/or the ability to provide input from the perspective of a user who may not have extensive technical expertise.

  • Venue coordinator

The primary responsibility of the venue coordinator is to book rooms for groups and events and to deal with last minute changes or problems. Volunteers would support the coordinator in their role.

If you think you could help in any of these roles the please contact Ken Talbot at volunteers@sandbachu3a.org.uk

Being a trustee

Our u3a is a registered charity and is run by a committee of trustees. The role is to oversee that our u3a is being managed in an open, fair and efficient manner. Whatever your level of experience you will be given an appropriate induction. There are monthly trustee meetings.

If you think you could help in any of these roles the please contact Ken Talbot at volunteers@sandbachu3a.org.uk
